Why choose perfect fit aluminium venetian
What makes aluminium venetians different
Six things that set perfect fit aluminium venetians apart from other options for uPVC windows.
- Precise, repeatable tilt
Each slat sits in a calibrated ladder tape, so they all tilt in unison and hold their position. There's no sagging or unevenness — the slats stay exactly where you put them.
- Zero frame damage
The clip-in system needs no screws, no rawl plugs, no brackets bolted to the wall. Important if you rent, or if you simply don't want unnecessary holes in a new window frame.
- Moisture-resistant aluminium
Unlike fabric or wooden blinds, aluminium slats won't warp, swell, or discolour in humid conditions. They're a good practical choice for kitchens and bathrooms where condensation builds up.
- Simple to clean
A damp cloth or microfibre duster is all you need. The slats don't absorb dust or grease the way fabric does. Close them flat to wipe across all slats at once in a single pass.
- Two slat widths — one frame
Choose 16mm slats for a refined, high-frequency look, or 25mm for a broader, more contemporary style. Both work within the same slim perfect fit frame, so the look from outside is identical.
- Built-in look, not an afterthought
The outer frame matches standard uPVC window colours — white, cream, grey, or anthracite — so the blind sits flush with the profile and looks like part of the window rather than something hung in front of it.
Where perfect fit aluminium venetians work best
Rooms and window types where the combination of clip-in fitting, tilt control, and wipe-clean aluminium slats really earns its place.
- 01Kitchens
Aluminium won't absorb cooking smells or steam, and it's quick to wipe down. The tilt control is useful over a sink where you want light from above but privacy from outside.
- 02Bathrooms
Unlike fabric or wood, aluminium slats won't warp or discolour in a steamy bathroom. The perfect fit frame seals neatly into the window bead, reducing gap around the blind.
- 03Home offices
Tilt the slats to cut glare from a screen without losing all the daylight. Because there's no pelmet or track above the window, you keep a clean visual line that doesn't distract.
- 04Conservatories
Most conservatory windows have the internal uPVC bead that perfect fit needs. Aluminium slats hold up better than fabric in the fluctuating temperatures of a conservatory.
- 05Rented properties
No drilling means no damage to the frames — nothing that a landlord or letting agent could raise at the end of a tenancy. Clips off cleanly when you move out.
- 06Door sidelights & narrow windows
The 16mm slat option is particularly suited to narrow sidelights beside front or back doors where a wide slat would look out of proportion. Keeps the view managed without blocking light entirely.
Other blinds in the perfect fit range
Wipe-clean aluminium slats with tilt control. 16mm or 25mm. Best for kitchens, bathrooms, and offices.
Real wood slats with a warmer, more natural look. Suited to living rooms and bedrooms in dry conditions.
Fabric pleats in a slim clip-in frame. Good for softening a window without the structure of a venetian.
Clean fabric roll in a clip-in frame. Available in blackout, filtering, and thermal options.
Common questions about perfect fit aluminium venetians
Can't find what you're looking for? Call us or book a free survey — we'll answer any question at the visit.
Will perfect fit blinds work on my windows?
They work on internally-beaded uPVC and composite windows — which covers most double-glazed windows fitted since the mid-1990s. The blind clips into the plastic bead on the inside edge of the frame. They won't work on traditional timber windows because those don't have the same bead profile. We check the compatibility of every window at the free survey before anything is ordered.
Can I open the window with the blind fitted?
Yes — that's one of the main reasons people choose them. The blind attaches to the sash or opening panel, so it moves with the window when you open it. Side-hung casements, top-hung fanlights, and tilt-and-turn windows all work normally with the blind in place.
What is the difference between 16mm and 25mm slats?
Both sizes give the same light control and sit in the same perfect fit frame. The difference is visual: 16mm slats are narrower, so you see more of them across the window — a finer, denser look. 25mm slats are broader, giving a bolder, more contemporary appearance. We bring samples to every survey so you can see both in your actual window before choosing.
Are they child-safe?
We offer cord-free versions of our perfect fit aluminium venetians, controlled by a tilt wand only. These have no exposed cord loops and are fully compliant with current UK child safety regulations. We recommend the cord-free option as standard for homes with young children.
How do I clean aluminium venetian slats?
Close the slats flat and wipe across them with a damp microfibre cloth or a soft duster. Because aluminium doesn't absorb grease or moisture, a quick wipe is usually all that's needed. For a thorough clean, you can remove the blind from its clip-in frame, take it outside, and rinse it down — it clips straight back in when dry.
Are aluminium venetians suitable for bathrooms?
Yes — they're one of the better choices for bathrooms. Aluminium slats don't warp, swell, or discolour in humid conditions the way timber or some fabrics do. Just avoid soaking the headrail or bottom rail directly, and wipe them down rather than rinsing in place.
How much do perfect fit aluminium venetians cost?
Price depends on the size of each window, the slat width you choose, and the number of blinds. We quote a fixed price at the free home survey — that's the price you pay on the day of fitting with no hidden extras. There's no obligation to go ahead after the survey.
Do you supply and fit, or just supply?
We measure, make, and fit everything ourselves — there's no third-party installer. The same team that surveys your windows fits the blinds, so any adjustments can be handled on the spot. We cover the North East and North West of England.
