How it works
A roller blind inside its own sealed frame
The roller mechanism cassette, tube, and fabric sits inside a powder-coated aluminium frame. That frame clips onto pressure-fit brackets seated in the rubber glazing bead of your uPVC window. The result is a clean, flush-fitted blind with no visible fixings and no damage to your window or walls.
- Self-contained cassette top rail
The roller tube sits inside a top cassette that spans the full width of the frame. The fabric feeds cleanly off the tube, no exposed mechanism, no visible springs. The cassette is part of the aluminium frame, not a separate component.
- Fabric rolls within the frame
The fabric drops and rolls entirely within the side channels of the frame, it doesn't extend beyond the frame edge at any point. This means no fabric catching on window handles, no gaps at the sides, and a consistent appearance whether the blind is fully up, fully down, or anywhere in between.
- Opens with the window — no catching
Because the frame is attached to the window glazing, not the wall, the blind tilts and pivots with the window when you open it. On tilt-and-turn windows in particular, this means the blind moves with the window rather than catching against the opening frame, something no standard roller blind can manage.
Key features
Why perfect fit rollers work
The roller is the most popular blind type in the perfect fit range, clean, minimal, and available in the widest fabric selection. Here's what makes the perfect fit version worth choosing over a standard roller.
- Zero damage to frames
Pressure-fit brackets slide between the glass and rubber glazing bead with no force and no tools. When you unclip the blind, the frame and brackets come away leaving the window exactly as it was, no marks, no holes, no residue.
- Fully cord-free
The roller operates via a spring-loaded mechanism or a touch-and-release system, there are no cords or chains exposed at any point. The fabric rolls entirely within the frame. Child and pet safe as standard, with no additional safety accessories needed.
- No light gaps at the sides
Because the fabric rolls within the side channels of the aluminium frame, it sits flush against both edges with no gap between the fabric and the frame. This dramatically reduces side light bleed compared to a standard roller blind hung in front of a window.
- Flush, integrated finish
The aluminium frame sits within the window reveal with the face of the blind flush against the glazing. The frame colour matches your window profile. When fitted, the blind looks like part of the window, not an addition to it.
- Easy to clean & remove
The frame unclips in seconds with no tools. Lay it flat to wipe the fabric down or remove it for a thorough clean. Reinstalling is just as quick, clip the frame back onto the brackets and it's done. No rehinging, no restringing, no hassle.
- Measured to the millimetre
Perfect fit rollers are cut to the exact glass dimensions of your window, not the reveal. We take these measurements at your free home survey. Even a small error in the glass measurement would make the brackets too loose or too tight, which is why professional measuring is essential for this product type.
Fabric options
Choose by light level and room use
The perfect fit roller frame accepts four fabric types, the same fabric categories as standard rollers, cut to fit within the frame rather than a standard tube width.
- Best for bedroomsBlackout
Foam-backed or coated fabric that blocks direct light transmission through the fabric face. Up to 95% light reduction, ideal for bedrooms, nurseries, and media rooms. Note: some perimeter bleed occurs at the frame edge even with blackout fabric.
- Most popularLight filtering
Allows diffused natural light through while maintaining daytime privacy from outside. The most popular fabric choice for kitchens, living rooms, and conservatories, you get a bright room without direct glare or visibility from the street.
- Best for conservatoriesThermal
A reflective or insulating backing reduces heat loss in winter and solar gain in summer, particularly useful in conservatories and rooms with large south-facing windows. Combines light filtering with meaningful temperature regulation.
- DecorativePatterned & printed
The perfect fit roller is available in patterned and printed fabrics , not just plains. Available in light-filtering weights across a range of colourways and geometric or botanical prints. Useful for children's rooms and rooms where the blind is a design feature.
Frame colours
Matched to your window colour
The aluminium outer frame comes in six standard colours, all matched to common uPVC and aluminium window profiles so the blind sits flush with your existing frames.
Best applications
Where perfect fit rollers work best
The roller is the clearest, most minimal option in the perfect fit range, and the one that most people picture when they think of a perfect fit blind.
- 01Tilt & turn windows
The blind clips to the glazed pane and opens with the window in both tilt and turn modes, no catching, no dragging. The most common application for perfect fit rollers and the one that most clearly demonstrates their advantage over standard rollers.
- 02Conservatories
One roller blind per window pane, they sit flush against the glazing with no trailing fabric between the panes or around the opening vents. Thermal fabric is particularly useful here for controlling summer heat and winter cold.
- 03Kitchens
The flush, wipeable frame and easily-removable fabric make perfect fit rollers practical in kitchens, steam, grease, and condensation are easier to manage when the blind and frame can be wiped or removed completely for cleaning.
- 04French & patio doors
One blind per door panel, clips to the glazed section and swings open with the door. Sits flat against the glazing, away from the door handle, and doesn't obstruct the door opening mechanism at any point.
- 05Rented properties
No drilling means no damage, the blind installs and removes without touching the window frame, the wall, or the sill. Ideal for tenants who can't make permanent alterations to the property, or anyone who wants a reversible window covering.
- 06Velux & roof windows
Blackout perfect fit rollers hold position on angled roof glazing because the frame is bracketed directly to the window pane, they don't sag or slide the way a standard roller would on a sloped surface. The go-to solution for loft bedrooms.

Reviews
What customers say
"The tilt-and-turn windows in our kitchen had been bare for two years because nothing worked properly on them. The perfect fit rollers clip on, tilt with the window, and look exactly right. Wish we'd done it sooner."
"We rent so I was nervous about blinds — the landlord doesn't allow drilling. These go on and off without touching the frames at all. The surveyor was honest about what would and wouldn't work. Really pleased with them."
"The blackout rollers in my son's room are great — not 100% blackout but more than enough for daytime naps. The fitter was in and out in under an hour and left everything spotless. Can't fault the service at all."
Perfect Fit Roller FAQs
More questions? We'll answer everything at your free survey, no pressure to commit on the day.
Is a perfect fit roller blind truly blackout?
No — and it's important to be upfront about this. The blackout fabric itself blocks direct light transmission, but the frame sits behind the glazing bead rather than creating a sealed enclosure. This means some light bleed occurs around the perimeter of the frame where it meets the beading. For most bedrooms this is acceptable, around 90–95% light reduction. For true complete blackout, a cassette roller with a full recess housing is the better solution.
Does the roller blind stay in place when I open the window?
Yes — and this is the main reason people choose perfect fit over standard rollers. Because the frame is clipped to the glazed pane rather than the wall or reveal, the blind pivots with the window. On tilt-and-turn windows, the blind tilts inward at the same angle as the glass; on standard casement windows, it swings open with the window. The fabric stays inside the frame throughout, so it won't catch on the window handle or the frame.
Can I fit a perfect fit roller blind myself?
The installation itself is straightforward once the blind is made to the correct dimensions — the brackets press in by thumb and the frame clips on in seconds. The critical part is the measurement: perfect fit blinds are cut to the glass dimensions, not the reveal, and the tolerance is tight. Even a few millimetres of error causes the brackets to be too loose or the frame not to fit. We measure professionally at the free home survey, which removes that risk entirely.
What's the maximum drop for a perfect fit roller blind?
The maximum drop for a perfect fit roller is typically 150cm (59 inches). This is set by the diameter of the rolled fabric on the cassette — beyond 150cm the roll becomes too large to fit within the cassette housing. If your window drop exceeds 150cm, a pleated or cellular perfect fit blind (which folds rather than rolls) may be a better option. We'll advise at survey.
My window has a handle in the glazed area — is this a problem?
It can be, but it's usually manageable. Where a window handle protrudes into the glazed area, the perfect fit frame needs to be cut around the handle — this is a standard option called a 'cut-out' and keeps the frame clear of the obstruction. We check for handles and other obstructions at the home survey and factor them into the measurement and specification.
How do I clean a perfect fit roller blind?
Unclip the frame from the brackets — it comes off in seconds. Lay it flat and wipe the fabric with a lightly damp cloth from top to bottom, following the direction the fabric unrolls. For the frame itself, a dry cloth is usually sufficient. PVC-coated fabrics can be wiped more vigorously; woven fabrics should be spot-cleaned only. The frame and brackets can be wiped with a damp cloth directly.
How much does a made-to-measure perfect fit roller blind cost?
Perfect fit rollers are priced per window based on the glass dimensions and fabric chosen. They're generally the most affordable option in the perfect fit range. Frame colour doesn't affect the price. We give a fixed written price at the free home survey with no obligation to proceed — valid for 30 days.
